“Yeh Kaise Goat Hain Re?” – Twiteratti Slam Virat Kohli As He Gets Out Cheaply In 1st T20I vs Australia
Virat Kohli got out cheaply against Australia.

Virat Kohli had a forgettable outing with the bat in the first T20I against Australia PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Tuesday, September 20. The former Indian captain managed only two runs off seven deliveries before getting out.

The hosts were asked to bat first by Aussie captain Aaron Finch. The Men in Blue didn’t had a great start, losing skipper Rohit Sharma in the third over. Rohit tried to take the attack to the opposition but found Nathan Ellis at the deep square-leg.

Virat Kohli, who came into the game on the back of a scintillating century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022, failed to keep the momentum going. The right-handed batter who looked under pressure against Adam Zampa, tried to play a big shot to break the shackles. However, he failed to get under the ball and skewed it to Cameron Green.

Fans were disappointed on social media and took a dig at the former Indian captain for failing to carry him form with the bat.

Here are some of the reactions:

India post 208 after losing Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli early

With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in the hut early and India reeling at 35/2, the onus was on KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav to guide the Men in Blue to a big score.

The duo added 68 runs for the third wicket to put the home side on top. Rahul, in particular, was spectacular with the bat. He reached his half-century before holing out to the deep square-leg fielder for 55 off 35 balls.

Suryakumar also smacked 46 off 25 balls before Hardik Pandya took the attack to the opposition bowlers. He remained unbeaten on 71 off just 30 deliveries to take India’s total to 208.
