Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are facing each other at MCA stadium in Pune in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to field first.

But the centre point of the match was MS Dhoni walking out for the toss. MS Dhoni has been named as captain of CSK once again after Jadeja decided to step down. Crowd went bonkers when MS Dhoni walked out for the toss. Fans couldn’t control their excitement and happiness to watch Dhoni once again leading the CSK team.

At the toss, Danny Morrison asked captain cool Dhoni if fans would witness MSD in yellow jersey next year too. MS Dhoni gave a cheeky reply to it which made CSK fans very delighted. “You’ll definitely see me in the yellow jersey, whether it is this one, or some other one, you never know.” said Dhoni.

Morrison also asked Dhoni about the areas where CSK needs to improve to win games consistently. Dhoni claimed fielding as a big area where CSK needs to get better at.  “You need to realise the current situation. We have dropped catches, those are the things you want to omit. Those are the areas you need to work on,” Dhoni said.

Jadeja’s batting form a big reason behind him stepping down from captaincy

Yesterday, CSK official Twitter handle released a statement which said that Ravindra Jadeja decided to relinquish captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game. He requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK once again. Captain cool MS Dhoni accepted the request to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game.

Jadeja was undergoing horrible form in IPL 2022. Jadeja managed to score just 112 runs in 8 matches at Strike rate of 121. Jadeja has been ineffective with the ball too. He has grabbed just 5 wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 8.2. This created a massive pressure on Jadeja to step down and focus more on his game.
