Ben Stokes is receiving praises from every quarter after his heroic performance against West Indies in the second Test. The Englishman is now the No.1 ICC ranked all-rounder and has also jumped to a career-high batting ranking of 3. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan too lauded Stokes for his incredible performance.

Meanwhile, Stokes is continuing to break records during the Test series against West Indies. He reached 400 Test runs and picked 150 wickets in the first Test on his captaincy debut. He backed up his performance in the second Test and scored 176 and 80* in the first and second innings respectively.

The 29-year-old chipped in with the ball as well as scalped 5 wickets in the match and helped his team level the series. The 3 match Test series is tied at 1-1 with the decider all set to be played at Old Trafford starting on Friday (July 24).

Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan after the Test win of England showered heaps of praise. The former cricketer said that Indian cricket would be unbeatable if they had a match-winner like Ben Stokes.

“Indian cricket will be unbeatable anywhere in the world if they have a match winning all rounder like @benstokes38 #matchwinner,” Irfan Pathan tweeted. 

After this tweet former Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh did not hesitate and took a sarcastic dig at his former teammate.

Yuvraj commented, “Are you saying we don’t have an all-rounder who’s a match winner?”. Pathan immediately responded and wrote, “Bro Yuvraj Singh has retired”.
