Zimbabwe to host India for a short limited-overs series: India to tour Zimbabwe for three One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals next month. The six matches will be played for a period of 12 days, beginning with the first ODI on June 11 and the last T20I on June 22. All the matches will be played at Harare Sports Club with the ODIs scheduled to be played between June 11-15 and the T20Is June 18-22.
This India’s tour will be followed by the toilsome tour of the Caribbean in July. Therefore it is expected that BCCI send a second string side for the Africa tour. For the past five years India have traveled Zimbabwe regularly to play limited overs series. This time too some big names could be rested.
“After finalizing all the formalities with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), we are pleased to announce the incoming tour scheduled for this June,” Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said on Tuesday.
India last toured the Zimbabwe in July 2015 when the visitors won the ODI series 3-0 and the T20 series was tied 1-1.
