An excellent comeback by Zimbabwe in the second T20I means the third and final T20I against Bangladesh will be the decider. The match will be played in Harare on July 25, Sunday.

Hosts Zimbabwe will be buzzing with confidence after their win in the previous game. Wesley Madhavere scored a 57-ball 73 which helped his team post 166 on the board. It was more than enough to defend for the inexperienced side. They put the visitors under pressure right from the start in the chase.

Eventually, Zimbabwe won quite comfortably by 23 runs and leveled the series. Going into the final game, Zimbabwe should be unchanged. Their bowling worked in tandem and shared the wickets which is also a good sign for the hosts.

Having crushed the ODI series and the one-off Test, Bangladesh was expected to grab the T20I series as well. It isn’t as straightforward anymore. They were outclassed in all three departments and need to regroup quickly for the third T20I. The absence of Mustafizur Rahman is showing in Bangladesh’s poor death bowling.

The others will have to step up soon before they find themselves staring at a series loss. As for the batting, Bangladesh needs to fire in unison against a Zimbabwe attack that is growing in confidence ahead of the third T20I.
