Cheteshwar Pujara is all set to play for the popular Chennai Super Kings franchise in IPL 2021. The mainstay of India’s Test squad will finally be involved in the biggest T20 league in the world the IPL. Pujara was bought by CSK at his base price of Rs. 50 Lakhs in the IPL auction.

Cheteshwar Pujara is excited to be a part of CSK and again play under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Pujara made his Test debut under the captaincy of Dhoni way back in 2010. So far in his career, Pujara has played just 30 matches as his game is not tailor-made for fast-paced T20 cricket.

Nevertheless, Pujara is looking to contribute to Dhoni’s CSK in the upcoming IPL season. After becoming a part of the franchise, CSK posted a heartfelt video message of Pujara where he was seen sitting with his cute daughter Aditi. While talking, his daughter also said, “unga thala superuu”, in Tamil, which signifies “your boss is superb”. The world knows that Dhoni is affectionately called ‘Thala’ which means ‘leader or boss’ in Tamil.

“It’s great to be back in the IPL, really looking forward to playing in the yellow jersey. I will be playing Dhoni Bhai again, he was the captain of the Test team when I made my debut and I have fond memories of playing under Mahi Bhai, I am really looking forward to playing with him again,” Pujara said in the video shared by CSK.
