It has been a tough time for Prithvi Shaw, who was once considered the next big thing in Indian cricket. Prithvi is definitely going to be a bit upset because of not being included in the Indian team despite his consistent performances.

The upcoming edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be very important for the young Mumbai batter and he will be motivated to perform well in this tournament.

Prithvi has so far played 82 matches in T20 cricket, scoring 2069 runs at an average of 25 and a superb strike rate of 147.78. Certainly, Prithvi’s strike rate in T20 cricket is very impressive and with a little attention to consistency, Prithvi can do well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Sanju Samson, who didn’t make it to India’s squad for the T20 World Cup, will be all set for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Many cricket pundits demanded that Sanju, who led Rajasthan Royals to the finals in IPL 2022, should get a chance in the World Cup team.

Sanju is the captain of the Kerala team in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders. He has been in superb form of late and will hope to lead the side from the front.

The wicketkeeper-batter has played 220 T20 matches so far, scoring 5452 runs at an average of 28.69 and a strike rate of 132.39.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will also be very important for Ruturaj Gaikwad, who won the Orange Cap in IPL 2021, while playing for the Chennai Super Kings. Rituraj was given a chance in the Indian team after his brilliant performances in domestic cricket and IPL but he failed to perform well there.

Ruturaj is the captain of the Maharashtra team this time and he will have a big responsibility to perform well for the team. The youngster has performed consistently in domestic cricket and that is why he can become the highest run scorer in this Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well.
