Team India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was seen interacting with JSCA International Sports Complex staff after the second ODI against South Africa on Sunday, October 9. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue bounced back in style to level the three-match series 1-1 by winning the second ODI by seven wickets.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently took to its official social media handles to give everyone a glimpse of Kishan’s exchanges with the fans in Ranchi. Ishan Kishan greeted the staffs and had a conversation with them before posing for pictures.

Meanwhile, chasing 279, India were in a spot of bother, losing openers Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill early. The Men in Blue were at 48/2 when Shreyas Iyer joined Ishan Kishan in the middle and the duo took the attack to the opposition.

They added 161 runs for the third wicket to put India on the brinks of victory. Although Ishan got out after a well made 93, Iyer remained unbeaten on 113 to the team through with 25 balls to spare.

“Really happy with the way we contributed as a team”- Ishan Kishan reacts to India’s convincing victory

Ishan Kishan was happy with his contribution with the bat as India bounced back to level the three-match series. He also opened up that fans asked him to hit a century while fielding near the boundary in the first innings.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Ishan stated:

“Really happy with the way we contributed as a team. It is my home ground and there were too many people watching. When I was fielding they were asking me to get a hundred today. Unfortunately I couldn’t but in the next game, I’ll give my best again.”

With the series tied at 1-1, the third match is scheduled to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, October 11.
