Virat Kohli dominated IPL in 2016 as no other batsmen had ever done. Kohli in that season played a total of 16 matches and owned the entire 2016 IPL with the bat in hand. Kohli averaged an astonishing 81.08 in that season and nobody has ever averaged more as a batsman after playing an entire IPL.

The talismanic run-scorer was truly playing a different game as he stood head and shoulders above everyone that season. To be able to average over 80 with the bat in T20 is truly unheard of and since then nobody has even reached close to it.

Every season batsmen will scale several heights but still to be able to score 81 runs I every innings can never be replicated in IPL history.
