Team India cricketer Suryakumar Yadav wants to learn the no-look six from his Mumbai Indians teammate Dewald Brevis. Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most innovative crickets in world cricket at the moment, who has a wide range of shots in his repertoire. He recently engaged in a fun conversation with Dewald Brevis in a recent video shared by the Mumbai Indians on social media.
Dewald Brevis’ ‘no-look six’ shot was one of the highlights of his performance in the 2022 Indian Premier League season. Suryakumar Yadav requested the South African cricketer to teach him how to play the shot. He revealed that he sometimes tries to copy the way Brevis bats. In the video shared by the Mumbai Indians, Suryakumar Yadav said to Brevis,
“I’m just trying to copy you sometimes. The way you bat. You have to teach me one thing. How do you do that no-look shot, no-look six? I just want to learn that from you.”
“I would love to. It would be an honor, but I would love to learn lots of shots from you as well. I want to tell you a funny story about this. My no-look just happens. It’s weird. I don’t know. It just happens. I always felt that if I keep my head down it helps. And then it just happens,” replied Dewald Brevis.

Dewald Brevis smashed a 57 ball-162 in the CSA T20 Challenge last year while playing for the Titans against the Knights. He slammed 13 boundaries and as many sixes during his knock. When asked about his knock, Brevis expressed that he didn’t realize that he was onto playing a special knock. Speaking to Suryakumar Yadav, the youngster said,
“I just had another normal day. It just happened. Didn’t even realize what I was doing in that moment. I think everything just happened while in that moment. I played every ball at its own time. Ball by ball I tried that. And then at the end, I told one guy ‘I’m going to try to hit and hit every ball for six now’, and he said ‘looks like you have been doing that in this whole innings. It just happened. It was a moment thing, was a special innings I must say.”
