Virat Kohli was overwhelmed with emotion as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their 18-year wait for an IPL title with a six-run win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final. As Shashank Singh hit the last ball for a six, Kohli dropped to the ground in tears.
Teammates including Rajat Patidar, Krunal Pandya, and Jitesh Sharma rushed in to celebrate the historic moment with him. The win meant more than just a trophy for Virat Kohli. Since 2008, he had stayed loyal to RCB, playing every IPL season for the same team.
Over the years, he faced many ups and downs, reaching the finals a few times but never winning. Despite his great performances, the team often fell short, and he faced a lot of criticism. This first title made his long journey and dedication truly special.

Gayle, de Villiers and Anushka Join Kohli as RCB Celebrate First IPL Title
As the celebrations unfolded, former RCB legends AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle stepped onto the field to embrace Virat Kohli in a moment of pure joy. Kohli also called his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, onto the ground to be part of the unforgettable occasion, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally hoisted the IPL trophy for the first time.
