As another exciting season of Indian Premier League (IPL) commences, all eyes will be on Delhi Capitals wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. The youngster didn’t have a great 2020 so far and will be desperate to make a comeback. Ahead of the start of IPL 2020, Delhi head coach Ricky Ponting is confident that Pant will emulate his last season’s performance.

Incidentally, Pant had an impeccable time in IPL 2020 and played a key role as Delhi Capitals reached the playoffs for the first time since 2012. The southpaw knocked 488 runs in 16 games at an average of 37.53 and a strike-rate of 162.66.

“We really have a balanced side. There is a lot of competition for middle-order slots. Rahane gives us more depth to our batting. Shikhar had as good a last season as anybody. Prithvi has been training very well. Shreyas has had his best 12 months for the Indian team.
