It was believed the CSK fast bowler KM Asif became the first player who stepped outside the biosecure bubble in the UAE. Players of all franchise are strictly advised to always remain in a bio bubble due to the COVID-19 scare. However, news broke in that Asif lost his hotel room key and went to the reception to get a replacement.
The reception of the hotel does not come in a guarded zone. Hence it looked that Asif has breached the bubble unintentionally. Now the CEO of CSK himself Kasi Viswanathan has simply rejected the reports of KM Asif breaking the rules.
KM Asif Did Not Breach The Bio-Bubble- Kasi Viswanathan
Viswanathan confirmed that Asif did misplace his room keys but never stepped out of the bubble. The CSK player went to a designated desk who are at all times managing with the players.
CSK CEO said, “I don’t know if facts have been checked because while there is a reception in the lobby, the staff attending to the CSK unit is different. KM Asif obviously would not go and speak to the general staff. The boys know that there is a dedicated team working with the players”.
“The fact he lost the key and went and asked for a replacement is true. But he didn’t go to the regular staff working and went to the designated desk. The matter has been blown out of proportion and facts need to be kept in mind,” said Viswanathan as quoted by Cricket Next.
Meanwhile, CSK since landing in the UAE has been under the scanner after their two players and several staff members were tested coronavirus positive.
Taking As Many Precautions Humanly Possible
Nonetheless, Viswanathan now made it obvious that all members of the franchise understand the gravity of coronavirus and are at all times in their respective bubble. Also, added that CSK is taking all the essential precautions plausible and so far has conducted 14 Tests in which all players have been tested negative.
“We all know the gravity of the situation and how the coronavirus is deadly. In fact, I myself have not entered the floors where the players and support staff are staying. Their bubble is different from the bubble created for the officials”.

“We are taking as many precautions as humanly possible. The players have undergone 14 tests so far and Asif to has been part of them and he is negative. Now, we cannot ask every staff member in the hotel to be a part of the bubble, but let me inform you that they are all being regularly tested,” the CSK CEO concluded.
Furthermore, as far as CSK’s performance on the field is concerned it hasn’t been promising so far. The MS Dhoni-led side is currently placed 8th in the table after losing their last two matches. They will now face the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dubai on 2nd October (Friday) in IPL 2020.
