The return in the batting form of Virat Kohli has been a major plus for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020. The legendary batsman in the initial few matches looked rusty and got dismissed without making any notable contributions.

It was his unbeaten knock of 90 against CSK, the world saw Kohli at his very best. Ultimately his innings proved to be match-defining as RCB registered a clinical win.

Recently Kevin Pietersen lauded the RCB skipper for coming roaring back into form. A few days back Pietersen had pointed out that Kohli is a showman and needs the support of the crowd to be at the peak of his powers.

Virat Kohli Now Doesn’t Need Crowds To Perform – Kevin Pietersen

However, after Kohli’s sensational knock against CSK, Pietersen is now convinced that he can now even produce his best even without any backing of the crowd. The former England cricketer is a huge admirer of the energy that Virat Kohli brings on the field and how he shows emotions and wears his heart on his sleeve.

“We are going to keep talking about Virat Kohli. We keep talking about him so much is because of the way he batted the other night. He has done that for years, years, and years. But he hadn’t done that up until that points (90 not out against CSK).

It doesn’t matter about the crowds. He has made himself into the kind of player that can dig deep. And those emotions are still there. We have seen it now in the field. He wears his heart on his sleeve,” Kevin Pietersen said.

“It is what it is. ‘I am Virat Kohli and this is the way I play. Crowds or no crowds. He has now convinced me that he doesn’t need crowds to perform as he did,” Pietersen told Star Sports,” he added.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli after the match against CSK revealed that the boundary in the super over against Mumbai Indians cleared him up. He then started enjoying his batting hence he was able to play a well-constructed knock under pressure. Kohli today yet again remained unbeaten and scored 33 from 28 deliveries at Sharjah against KKR.
