In another heartbreaking news for the Chennai Super Kings, senior all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2020. He will fly back to his home in Trinidad in a couple of days from the UAE.
Meanwhile, Bravo suffered an injury during CSK’s game against Delhi Capitals. He walked out of the field holding his groin and took no further part in the match. It prompted MS Dhoni to bowl Ravindra Jadeja in the 20th over which cost them the game.
Dwayne Bravo ruled out of IPL 2020
One of the lynchpins of the Chennai Super Kings squad, Dwayne Bravo landed with an injury in the UAE. He copped that injury during Trinbago Knight Riders title-winning campaign in the CPL. As a result, he also missed a couple of games at the start of IPL 2020.

Although he returned to action, but Bravo was far from his usual best. He has played six matches scalping the same number of wickets at an economy rate of 8.57. With the bat, he managed only seven runs which is quite below-par considering his standards. And now, the groin injury has once again come back to bite him in the back and will keep him out of action.
In the wake of it, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that Dwayne Bravo has been ruled out of IPL 2020. He also said that he will fly back to his home and will nurse his injury there.
“No, Bravo isn’t playing any more part this time round and the groin injury has ruled him out. He will be flying back in a day or two,” the CEO said to ANI.
Meanwhile, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has already confirmed that they will not opt for any replacement if Dwayne Bravo is ruled out. Chennai have only four matches left in this campaign and will aim to finish on a high after what has been the worst campaign of theirs in the history of IPL.
