Twitter was buzzing for Ravichandran Ashwin after he scored a memorable century at his home ground at Chepauk. Ashwin came out to bat early on day 3 after India lost a flurry of wickets. The capable Indian batsman joined his captain Virat Kohli and made batting look easy on a difficult batting pitch.

Ashwin went after Moeen Ali and Jack Leach as he executed hard sweep shots and never allowed them to settle. The home favourite even outscored Kohli in their partnership and stunned England. After picking a 5 wicket haul in the first innings Ashwin was keen to show his class even with the bat in front of his adoring home crowd.
