Eminent British journalist Piers Morgan has taken a dig at Indian PM Narendra Modi for not functioning the healthcare system properly in the middle of the raging pandemic. The death count in India has increased by leaps and bounds in the last few days with people dying to lack of oxygen cylinders and proper treatment. Morgan lashed out at Narendra Modi, the Honourable Indian Prime Minister, and slammed him for ‘woefully irresponsible leadership’. Morgan stated that India’s sole focus should be on how to stave off the COVID-19 virus for the time being.
The IPL 2021 started from April 9 earlier this month and 21 league games have been played so far in the tournament. The IPL organisers have been hosting the tournament with all proper precautions in place. The players too are doing their bit to help people understand the immediacy of the situation and have been constantly urging them to wear masks and stay at home.

Indian Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra have also urged the cricketers to do a bit more than what they have been doing so far as athletes of our country.
“Cricketers and officials can’t just live in their own bubble, and be totally deaf or blind to whatever is going outside. I can only imagine that while you’re having these IPL games, outside the stadium you have ambulances going to hospitals. I don’t know how the coverage on TV is but I would really appreciate if it’s a little bit muted in nature,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Australian pacer Pat Cummins has donated $50000 to the Prime Minister’s (PM) Relief Fund for the purchase of oxygen supplies to Indian hospitals His act was lauded all across by the Twitterverse who have stood upto Cummin’s generous act for the country of India in these testing times.
