ENG vs IND 2021 Watch: Indian Skipper Virat Kohli’s Captivating Fitness Regime

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is down to his preparations after reaching Leeds for the third Test. Fitness plays a big part in his preparations and that was what he was keenly focused on. Kohli has been below par with the bat in the series against England. After a first-ball duck at Trent Bridge, he had scores of 42 and 20 at Lord’s.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli uploaded a video of his fitness regime on Twitter doing some heavy weight lifting. “There’s literally no substitute to hard work” he captioned his video where he was lifting some serious weight. Kohli has always spoken very highly regarding the importance of fitness and the culture that it has become within the current Indian team.

Kohli along with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya keeps posting workout videos of them regularly. Kohli was also seen talking to Mayank Agarwal during practice sessions. Heading into the Third Test at Leeds, the Indian team is charged up. They are confident of winning the third Test as well which seems very possible with a fragile England batting line-up.

The Indian players gave it their all during training and pushed themselves hard to get fitter before the Test match. Meanwhile, Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane confirmed that Shardul Thakur is available for selection for the third Test after missing out on the second Test at Lord’s with a hamstring injury.

Former cricket experts are also backing Suryakumar Yadav to replace Cheteshwar Pujara in the third Test. Ravichandran Ashwin has also been given all the support by the former cricket experts to be a part of the playing XI at Headingley.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid all scored a century in the last Test match that India won at this venue back in 2002. That remains their only Test match win at Leeds.
