India will take on Scotland in Match 37 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Friday, November 5, at the Dubai International Stadium. India is in a must-win situation to stay alive in the race for knockouts.
The Virat Kohli-led team registered their first victory of the tournament. They defeated Afghanistan by 66 runs in Abu Dhabi. Batting first, the Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got India off to a flying start. They put together 140 runs for the first wicket. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya’s fireworks’ at the end, took India to 210 runs.
In the second innings, Mohammad Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin took three and two wickets respectively, to restrict Afghanistan to 144 runs at the end of the match.

On the other hand, Scotland faced their third defeat of the tournament in the last match. Bradley Wheal and Safyaan Sharif took two wickets each, to restrict New Zealand to 172 runs in the first innings. However, the Scottish batters failed to counter, Trent Boult and Ish Sodhi.
They could manage 156 runs in 20 overs, handing New Zealand a 16 runs victory. Despite the loss, Scotland had lots of positives, including their batting in the powerplay.
