The Commonwealth Games 2022 has included women’s cricket for first time in history. Top eight teams will fight it out for gold medal. The cricket event will get underway on July 29 with the gold medal match scheduled to take place on August 7. The Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham will host all the cricket matches of this showpiece event.
The games will be played in T20 format and the eight teams have been divided into two groups. India Women, Australia Women, Barbados Women, and Pakistan Women have been categorised into Group A while England Women, New Zealand Women, South Africa Women and Sri Lanka Women have been categorised in Group B.
