With the IPL 2020 coming closer former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has been busy with analysis of teams measuring their strength and weaknesses. He also has been picking the ideal playing XI of every team along with a variety of other stuff which he has been regularly posting on his Youtube channel.

In the recent one, he has picked up his top three spinners in IPL history. Chopra has picked Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Ravichandran Ashwin in his top three.

“Harbhajan Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra will be my three choices but if you talk about the last five years, then Rashid Khan is the best because he has gone far ahead. Sunil Narine has also been very good although he has not been that effective for the last couple of years,” Aakash told in his Youtube video.

Rashid Khan-  The Best Spinner In Last Three to Five Years: Aakash Chopra

Going forward, he has picked up Rashid Khan as the best spinner in the last three to five years, given the young Afghan’s exploits in the IPL. “But if you talk about the last three to five years, Rashid Khan has been absolutely the best” Chopra said.

IPL has been garnered a lot of reputed spinners over the years. Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Sunil Narine, Rahul Chahar, Mayank Markande are all products of the IPL over the years.

This year too, the league will see a lot of reputed spinners play in the league. Ravi Bishnoi is among the most promising names who will be on show this year.

The IPL this year will be played in the UAE, which historically prepares spin-friendly wickets. All the teams have some really good spinners in their ranks, which makes the tournament all the more interesting.

The season opens with Chennai Super Kings taking on the Mumbai Indians on September 19.
