All eyes were on Pat Cummins when he came onto bowl against Mumbai Indians. KKR acquired the faster bowlers for a whopping Rs. 15.5 crores in the IPL auction. The Number 1 Test bowler quickly realised that T20 cricket is a different ball game altogether.

After Mumbai Indians got off to a flyer, Karthik introduced Cummins against a destructive Rohit Sharma. In his very first over, Sharma took Cummins to the cleaners as he smashed 15 runs in his over.

As expected social media was on fire after Cummins bowled the expensive over. The Aussie was trolled from all corners as he disappointed KKR fans with his ordinary over. Popular commentator Aakash Chopra to took a gibe at Cummins and his price tag on Twitter in Hindi.

Meanwhile, surprising Cummins had no plan against Rohit and kept bowling to him at his strengths. Rohit was waiting on the back foot and kept pulling Cummins for boundaries. The MI skipper played his patent pull against Cummins that went deep into the stands in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium at Abu Dhabi.

Recently Cummins also had a disappointing during the white-ball tour of England where he was continuously targeted by the batsmen. In his first IPL game, he looked under pressure straight away and crumbled against Rohit.

This is not the first time Rohit has dominated Cummins. Earlier this year when Australia toured India for 3 ODI matches the opening batsman played Cummins with ease and made plenty of runs against him.

Moreover even after his over MI didn’t allow Cummins to settle down and kept on targeting him. He did not even complete his full quota of 4 overs as in his 3 overs, the Aussie has given away 49 runs and was KKR’s most expensive bowler.
