Meanwhile, de Villiers featured in inaugural South Africa’s 3T Cricket in July. Post his decisive inning de Villiers admitted that playing competitive cricket before the IPL gave him confidence before the big IPL season.

“As a 36-year-old, you doubt yourself. We had a competitive match in South Africa, which was very important. Had some confidence before coming here. We worked hard over the last four weeks, as a team and individually to get some form”, de Villiers said after the win against SRH.

Meanwhile, RCB will now face the Kings XI Punjab on 24 September at Dubai International Stadium. Kohli’s men will be keen to carry their winning momentum in their second match of IPL 2020. On the other hand, KXIP will be looking to register their first win after losing their opening match against Delhi Capitals.
