India’s opening duo, Abhishek Sharma and vice-captain Shubman Gill, were seen enjoying a casual beach outing ahead of the fourth T20I of the five-match series against Australia, set to be played on Thursday, November 6, at Carrara Oval in Queensland. The series began with a rain-affected opener in Canberra that ended without a result, followed by Australia’s four-wicket win in Melbourne.
However, India made a strong comeback in the third T20I in Hobart, successfully chasing 187 to clinch a five-wicket victory. Before the crucial fourth game, on Tuesday, November 4, Abhishek and Shubman looked in good spirits as the former shared an Instagram post featuring the pair enjoying their time at Broadbeach in Queensland.

Meanwhile, the two players have had opposite runs of form in the series so far. Abhishek sits atop the batting charts with 112 runs from three innings, averaging 37.33 and striking at 167.16, highlighted by a half-century and a best of 68. In contrast, Shubman Gill has accumulated 57 runs in three innings, averaging 28.50 with a strike rate of 135.71, his highest being an unbeaten 37.
“Hopefully dismiss him early” – Kuhnemann wary of Abhishek Sharma’s form before 4th T20I
Australia spinner Matt Kuhnemann lauded India’s Abhishek Sharma ahead of the fourth T20I, expressing hope that his side can send the in-form batter back early. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, November 4, Kuhnemann said [as quoted by RevSportz]:
“Hopefully, Xavier Bartlett or one of the quicks. Benny Dwarshuis can take his wicket in the first couple of overs. He’s a serious talent and just goes so hard from ball one. It’s going to be a great spectacle on Thursday, but hopefully these boys can get him cheaply.”
Abhishek Sharma has played 27 T20Is, amassing 961 runs at an average of 36.96 and a remarkable strike rate of 192.20, which includes six fifties and two centuries.
