Opening alongside Rahul Dravid for Rajasthan Royals, Rahane posted an impressive 103 off 60 balls, a strike rate of approximately 172 where he hit twelve boundaries (fours) and five maximums (sixes).
2. 98 Against KXIP on April 6, 2012
Another impressive knock from the same year – 2012. Ajinkya Rahane, batting for Rajasthan Royals, scored 98 against Kings 11 Punjab (KXIP) on April 6, 2012. He scored 98 from 66 deliveries which included 16 boundaries (fours) and only a single six. He was bowled by Faulkner on the last over of the first innings, missing out on an impressive century.
3. 84 Against Delhi Daredevils on April 29, 2012
By now you would have guessed it that Rahane had a dream IPL 2012. He scored 84 against Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) while batting second, chasing a total of 153. Despite his best efforts, Rahane couldn’t take Rajasthan Royals over the line as RR lost by one run. It is definitely one of the most memorable games from the season.
4. 71 Not Out Against KKR on April 23, 2023
One of the top knocks that Ajinkya Rahane played for CSK in 2023 was the 71 not out against KKR. CSK (Chennai Super Kings) was batting first and with a good start from Gaikwad and Conway, the onus was on Rahane who came to bat at number 3 (or first down in the order) to keep the momentum of high-speed scoring.
Rahane hit five maximums (sixes) and six boundaries (fours) from 29 deliveries and scored an impressive 71. What’s better was that he went not out to the pavilion.
5. 61 Against MI on April 8, 2023
This match against Mumbai Indians was a crucial one for Rahane as he was debuting for CSK. This innings would set the tone for him in the team. Rahane scored a fast 61 from 27 deliveries with an impressive strike rate of 225.92 where he hit three maximums (sixes) and seven boundaries (fours).
