Ashes 2023: [WATCH] Cameron Green Gives 100% Efforts In Fielding For His Side To Make An Impact

Cameron Green, an Australian all-rounder, has once again demonstrated why he is so well-regarded as a fielder in the gully area. On Day 3 of the first Ashes 2023 Test, on Sunday, the lanky cricketer made a brilliant catch to dismiss England’s Ben Duckett.

The ball was pitched on a good length and straightened with the angle of the wicket-rounding skipper Pat Cummins.

Duckett attempted to punch the ball but was far from the line. Due to the loose shot that resulted, Green accomplished a breathtaking diving one-handed catch to his left.

In the second innings of India’s World Test Championship final, the Cameron Green catch that resulted in Shubman Gill’s dismissal seemed to raise some questions.

He did, however, appear to have executed this catch brilliantly and demonstrated once more his talent for making such amazing catches in the gully area.

By returning the first two innings, Australia gained more ground. Australia appeared to benefit from the Edgbaston weather being overcast as Scott Boland made sure England lost another wicket in the following over.

To counter the nip-backer that Boland bowls in that channel, Zak Crawley attempted to move outside the off-stump’s line.

However, the pacer managed to straighten the delivery from that angle, which caught Crawley off guard.

England now appears to be in serious trouble as he could only manage to edge the ball back to the wicketkeeper.

Although play has been halted due to rain as of this writing, the circumstances seem ideal for the Australian bowlers to further damage England’s batting. Joe Root and Ollie Pope are both on 0* as the visitors only lead by 35 runs.

The outcome of whether they batten down the hatches or whether England counterattacks to score quick runs will be interesting to watch.
