Ashes 2023: [WATCH] Ollie Robinson Removes Dangerous Looking Usman Khwaja

Usman Khawaja‘s tenacious knock came to an end when Ollie Robinson struck the off-stump with a precise yorker to end it. He deliberately danced to the ground before attempting to squeeze it out but failing.

After scoring 141 off 321 balls, his first century in England, the southpaw returns to a standing ovation from the Edgbaston crowd.

Australia revived their innings after a top-order hiccup thanks to the competent support of Alex Carey, Travis Head, and Cameron Green for Khawaja.

Khawaja was a model of focus as wickets tumbled all around him, determined to end the English voodoo.

The second person to leave on the third morning of the Ashes opener is Khawaja. To give England a quick victory, James Anderson bowled Carey for 66.

The ball slipped through the slight bat pad gap in the keeper’s bat, smacked the back pad flap, and then struck the top of the stumps.

Australia is 16 runs behind at 372/7. The ongoing first Ashes Test saw controversy when England’s Ollie Robinson came under fire for his unsportsmanlike behavior after Usman Khawaja of Australia was dismissed on Day 3 at Edgbaston.

Prior to the breakthrough, Robinson, who had little effect in the Test, insulted Khawaja and tarnished the competitive spirit.

Khawaja, regarded as one of cricket’s most popular players, demonstrated exceptional batting prowess by scoring an astounding 141 runs before being bowled by Robinson.

Robinson’s post-wicket conduct, however, attracted criticism and attention from both experts and fans.

A verbally aggressive outburst by the right-arm pacer, who had just removed Khawaja, was caught on camera. He was heard yelling obscenities at the departing batter.

Robinson’s profane and derogatory language has drawn much criticism for its lack of sportsmanship and disrespect for the opposition.
