Bhuvi has taken 112 wickets for Hyderabad in 90 matches since 2014. He has also won the Purple Cap twice in his IPL career (2016, 2017).

Bhuvneshwar was forced to pull out of IPL 2020 due to a hamstring injury. But he recently made a terrific comeback in the limited-overs series against England. Playing his first ODI since August 2019, the fast bowler picked up 6 wickets in 3 games to help India seal the series.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has also called him one of the contenders of the purple cap in the upcoming season. The David Warner-led Orange Army will kickstart their campaign on April 11 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The David Warner-led side can be potentially unbeatable if they play to their full-strength squad. However, last season, they lost a couple of key matches which at one point in time they looked certain to win.

Apart from Bhuvi, Rashid Khan, David Warner, Manish Pandey, and Jonny Bairstow are some of the key players in the squad. Historically the side has been too dependent on their openers to score most of the runs for them and their middle-order has always been questioned. Hopefully, Kedar Jadhav’s inclusion into the side will help them address the problem.
