Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah playfully referenced a minor training injury in a post with Ishan Kishan following India’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Namibia. India secured a comfortable 93-run victory, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament.
Before the match, during a practice session, Bumrah was bowling to Kishan in the nets when he delivered a toe-crushing yorker that hit Kishan’s foot. Kishan was briefly down in pain, raising some concerns about a potential injury.
Fortunately, the batter quickly recovered after receiving treatment from the physio and resumed his net practice without any issues. After the game, Bumrah shared a dressing room photo with Kishan, cheekily mentioning to the incident in his caption.
“What doesn’t hurt you (too badly) makes you stronger 😉,” the caption read.

The Team India players appeared cheerful in the photograph, and Bumrah’s impressive bowling in the nets was a positive indicator following his absence from the match against the USA.

Jasprit Bumrah’s practice in the nets clearly paid off for Ishan Kishan, who went on to smash a match-winning half-century against Namibia. Opening the innings, Kishan gave India a flying start. In top form, he continued his impressive run, scoring 61 off just 24 balls, including six boundaries and five sixes, at a staggering strike rate of 254.17.
India posted a commanding total of 209/9 after batting first. On his comeback, Bumrah also looked sharp with the ball. While he claimed only one wicket, he was highly economical, finishing with figures of 1/20 in four overs, as the Men in Blue dismissed Namibia for 116 in 18.2 overs.
With key performers like Kishan and Bumrah in such fine form, India head into their crucial clash against Pakistan on a strong note, giving captain Suryakumar Yadav and his team a major boost.
