IPL 2020 is still a month away but the franchises on social media have already risen to develop a rivalry with each other. The official account of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has become insanely active on social media since the last few days. In one of their recent post, they shared an image of Virat Kohli and linked him with a lion on World Lion Day.

The franchise also asked the users to spot the differences between their skipper and the lion. The post of King Kohli on world lion day immediately got the attention of all cricket fans on twitter. Newly engaged Yuzvendra Chahal also tried finding out the difference in the photo in his own sarcastic way.

CSK Troll RCB and Virat Kohli

“Difference hmmm in the first pic wearing clothes and in 2nd pic widout clothes”, Chahal wrote that had the Twitterati in splits.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings whose matches against RCB in the IPL are considered as a south Indian derby also joined in the fun. The Super Kings poked fun at Bangalore and Virat Kohli.

“Mum’s been crying all day. Where did you go? What have you done to your hair?!” CSK wrote.

Interestingly, the home ground of CSK in India is called a lion’s den that very few teams taste success. Even the logo of the franchise has the shadow of a lion which clearly suggest that the franchise believes in playing like lions on the field. Moreover, the reply by CSK garnered more than 7.3K likes on 1K retweets on Twitter.

Come September 19 the time for talk will be over as the 13th edition of the most prominent league in the world will take centre stage. CSK will be looking to clinch their 4th IPL title, whereas RCB will be hoping to get the monkey off their back and register their maiden IPL title. All franchises are gearing up for the upcoming season and will depart for UAE later this month.
