After the successful Mumbai edition of the Cricfit Premier League (CPL), the tournament kickstarted its operations in the city of Nashik, where on the opening day, we had the RV Sports take on the Nashik Sports And Fitness Academy in the under-14 category at the Gold club ground in Nashik. Wherein RV Sports defeated the Nashik Sports And Fitness Academy by 19 runs in an atmost close encounter.
It all started when RV Sports won the toss and elected to bat first. The tournament was lit up by the opening batsman of RV Sports Ved Sonavne as the latter played a sensational knock of 75 runs as RV Sports registered a score of 168 runs at the end of 20 overs with the help of notable contributions from Sidhesh Chavan down the order.
Mohit Kataria’s 58 run knock in vain in CPL
In the aftermath, Nashik Sports And Fitness Academy started things off in brisk fashion as the openers notched up a 45 run opening partnership giving them the perfect start into the chase of 169 runs. Mohit Kataria who batted at three played 58 run knock to take the Nashik Sports And Fitness Academy closer to the target.
As things were looking to go their way, loss of wickets in quick succession led to the downfall of the chasing side leading to RV Sports winning the match as Nashik Sports And Fitness Academy could only manage 149 at the end of 20 overs.
