Cricketing Fraternity Wishes India On 75th Independence Day

As India celebrates its 75th Independence day, wishes poured in from the cricketing fraternity from across the globe. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, and others expressed their love and gratitude for the country.

Notably, the Indian men’s team will also be in action today at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. England, in reply to India’s 364 runs, scored 391 on the back of skipper Joe Root’s 180*. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will resume the play on Day four as India looks to wipe down the deficit and build a strong lead in the game.

Over the years, the Indian cricketers have made their mother nation proud with their achievements and will once again be determined to put up a spirited performance against England in the second test match at the Lord’s cricket ground.

Let’s take a look at the Independence day wishes for India from the cricketing fraternity.

Cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar wished all the Indians across the world, Happy Independence Day!

Sachin Tendulkar wrote,

“भारत हमेशा सर आँखों पर! I have always worn the flag on my helmet with pride and it always reminded me why I stepped on the field. Wish a very Happy 75th #IndependenceDay to all the Indians across the globe. Jai Hind!”

India’s right-arm pacer Ishant Sharma wrote,

“Saare jag me kahin nahi hai dusara #Hindustan! This #IndependenceDay2021, let’s take a moment to value our nation and never forget the supreme sacrifices made by our brave hearts to give us freedom, today. Jai Hind! #IndependenceDayIndia”

All-rounder Krunal Pandya wrote,

“Playing for my country is a dream come true and I’m grateful for every opportunity I get to represent my nation. Happy #IndependenceDay to my fellow Indians”
