The left handed explosive batsman from West Indies, made his One day international debut against India on 11th September 1999. He has played 289 matches (283 innings) and scored 10151 runs with 25 centuries and 51 half-centuries.

In the recently concluded home ODI series against England, Chris Gayle was in superb form scoring 424 runs from 4 matches with 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries. He has been selected in 15 man squad for World Cup 2019.

Chris Gayle can change the course of game with his explosive batting while opening the batting. In the 2015 World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand, Gayle scored 215 against Zimbabwe and made a mark with the bat.

It will be his 5th World Cup and would be hoping to perform brilliantly with the bat and give cricketing fans something to remember. If Gayle can provide flying starts, then West Indies has a chance to lift their 3rd World Cup title.
