Shoaib Malik is an experienced player from Pakistan. He made his One-day international debut for Pakistan on 14th October 1999 against West Indies. Since his debut, Malik has played 282 matches (253 innings) and scored 7481 runs with an average of 35.12.

He has not been in brilliant form for Pakistan in recent times. Malik was named as the stand-in captain during the 5 matches ODI Series against Australia but could not perform according to expectations. Due to some problems or others, he has not played many World Cups.

Malik will play a key role in the upcoming World Cup 2019 to be played in England starting from 30th May. If Pakistan is to win World Cup 2019, Malik needs to come with great performances with the bat in the middle order.
