Protean pacer Dale Steyn is one of the great cricketers to have played the sport. He retired from Test cricket but has continued to ply his trade in the shortest format of the game. Steyn decided to hand his Test boots in 2019 while focusing more on the limited-overs format. He had earlier revealed that he wont be part of IPL 2021 after his previous franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore had decided to release him ahead of the auction.

Meanwhile, in a recent interaction with ESPN Cricinfo, Dale Steyn has talked a lot about his life outside of the cricketing limelight. Within that, when he was asked about one thing that he would like to steal from another bowler, Steyn replied it would be Jasprit Bumrah‘s yorker. The Indian pacer is one of the best exponents of the delivery in the modern game.

Talking about Bumrah, he played a huge role in helping India beat England at Lord’s in the second Test. He scored 34 crucial runs in the second innings and added an 89*-run partnership with Mohammed Shami to put India in a commanding position.

Steyn answered a few more questions on surfing before telling that he would like to copy the bowling action of his South African teammate Kagiso Rabada. He further said Rabada’s action is “poetry in motion” easy and languid.

Steyn during his interaction, further revealed s story when he bowled a bouncer to Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson and later feeling bad about it. He said that Williamson is one of the nicest guys in world cricket at the moment and bowling him a ruffling bouncer previously in his career, he feels bad about it.

Steyn concluded by remembering the moment when he dismissed AB De Villiers the last time he bowled to him in competitive cricket.
