Virat Kohli led India created history at Lord’s by defeating mighty England at Home of cricket Lord’s cricket ground, London. Notably, India won the match by a huge margin of 151 runs. Meanwhile, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has praised pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his performance.

The match between the teams was a nail-biting encounter and the game entered the final day at Lord’s with all three results possible. However, Team India outperformed Joe Root’s England to clinch a victory on Day 5.

Meanwhile, in a chat with PTI, Tendulkar talked about the performance of Indian bowlers who bowled out of England before 55 overs. Also, Tendulkar, praised Bumrah who was entering the series with a poor run in the WTC final against New Zealand. Sachin Tendulkar opined that Jasprit Bumrah has a big brain alongside a big heart. He stated:

“I felt before the WTC final, Bumrah didn’t have enough long spells under his belt. He is the kind of bowler who is like the more he bowls, the better he gets. He doesn’t only have a big heart but also has brains and we saw that yesterday when he outsmarted Ollie Robinson with a brilliant slower ball to dismiss him after peppering him with a few short balls,”.

Sachin Tendulkar further added that current Indian bowling is the best bowling unit in the world. Also, he talked about the people who make a comparison of Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj to Indian bowlers of other generations like Zaheer Khan and Kapil Dev. Sachin Tendulkar asserted:

Today this bowling attack is the best in the world. It’s a reflection of talent, discipline and ability to work hard on fitness and wanting to learn more. I don’t like comparisons across eras because bowling attacks should also be judged by batters who are batting against them. Be it during Kapil’s or Srinath’s or Zaheer’s generation, there were different batsmen facing them,”.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah entered the Lord’s Test with a sensational performance in the first Test at Nottingham. Notably, he picked a 4-wicket haul in the first innings and a 5-wicket haul in the second innings. Meanwhile in second Test, at Lord’s, he went wicketless in the first inning. However, he contributed amazing 34 runs with the bat in India’s second innings. Also with the ball, he picked 3 crucial wickets in the last innings of the match to help India clinch the victory.
