Delhi Capitals have roped in 27-year-old leg-spinner Pravin Dubey as the replacement of senior leg-spinner Amit Mishra. Incidentally, Mishra was ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2020 with a finger injury he sustained during their game against Kolkata Knight Riders on October 3.
Meanwhile, the veteran spinner injured his bowling arm right in the first over of his spell against KKR in Sharjah. Mishra was injured in trying to take a return catch from a mistimed shot from Nitish Rana which held up in the air. The leg spinner jammed his hand under the ball in his attempt to complete the catch.

Days after ruling out, Delhi Capitals has availed the service of Pravin Dubey. They announced their new signing for the remainder of IPL 2020 in the UAE. Pravin Dubey, who hails from Karnataka has played 14 domestic T20 matches for his state, and has 16 wickets to his name, with an economy rate of 6.87.
It will be a great learning curve for the cricketers who will be rubbing shoulders with the best in the business.
“JSW and GMR co-owned franchise Delhi Capitals today announced the signing of 27-year-old leg spinner Pravin Dubey as replacement for Amit Mishra, for the rest of the Dream11 Indian Premier League,” Delhi Capitals said in a statement.
Delhi Capitals are currently at the top of the points table with 14 points from nine matches. They are almost in the playoffs with five matches still to play. Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin have stepped up well in the absence of Amit Mishra.
The Shreyas Iyer-led side has played exceedingly well and will hope to keep up the good work as they continue their hunt for their maiden trophy.
