England cricketer Ravi Bopara’s grandparents live and have roots in Phagwara, Punjab. He was in Forest Gate, London in 1985. Bopara made his debut for England in an ODI against Australia in 2007 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He has some all-round good performances for England. In 13 Test matches, Bopara has scored 575 runs and has taken a wicket. He has also scored 2695 runs in 120 ODIs, with 40 wickets. The all-rounder has a decent T20I record, with 711 runs, and 16 wickets.


Samit Patel

Samit Patel is an Indian-origin player who played for England. His parents came from Gujarat where his relatives live. He was born in 1984 in Leicester. The left-arm orthodox made his debut in 2008 in an ODI against Scotland. Since then, he has played 36 ODIs, ^ Tests, and 18 T20Is. Samit has taken 24 wickets in ODIs, and seven each in Tests and T20Is.  His brother Akhil Patel was also a cricketer and played for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.


Keshav Maharaj

Keshav Maharaj is one of the best spinners in South Africa currently. He has also led the country on a few occasions in International cricket. The left-arm spinner was born in Durban in 1990. His forefathers came to South Africa a long time ago. Keshav made his debut in 2016 in a test match against South Africa. In 49 Tests since then, he has 158 wickets at an average of 31.99 He has picked up 29 ODI wickets and 22 T20I wickets.
