Star Australia cricketer Ellyse Perry has come up with a hilarious reply to Indian star batsman Murali Vijay’s desire to go on a dinner date. Out-of-favour India recently expressed his desire to go on a date with Perry; who has now issued the cheekiest response.
Meanwhile, Perry missed the semifinals and finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 where the home side emerged victorious beating India in the finals. The star all-rounder caught up a hamstring injury and had to sit in the wings and watch her side play in the finals, which witnessed a massive turnout. Australia thrashed the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side to lift the coveted trophy in a one-sided affair.

Incidentally, during an interview on Instagram Live last month, a presenter asked Murali Vijay which two cricketers he would like to have dinner with. The veteran batsman from Tamil Nadu expressed that he thought Ellyse Perry is beautiful and hoped to enjoy a meal with her.
“Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful,” Vijay said, before adding Indian teammate Shikhar Dhawan to his ideal dinner party list.

Finally, Ellyse Perry responded to the invitation. Speaking to sports presenter Ridhima Pathak, Perry came up with a perfect one-liner when asked about Murali Vijay’s comments. Meanwhile, Perry had tied the knots in 2015 with Australian rugby star Matt Toomua. Unfortunately for the Indian cricketer, that Vijay will have through Matt to take her out for a dinner.
“I hope he’s paying if that’s the case,” Perry said. “That’s very kind of him, I’m very flattered,” he added.
