Team India will lock horns with England on Wednesday, August 4 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh has predicted India will be victorious in the five-match Test series against England.

Notably, India hasn’t won a Test series against England in England since 2007. Rahul Dravid was the one who led India towards victory during 2007. Also, India doesn’t have very good records in England. As India has only won 7 Test matches to date in the country. Also during the last Test series, India was defeated 4-1 by team England.

While discussing about the series Harbhajan Singh revealed his prediction. He said he expects India to win at least two to three Tests. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh stated:

“India definitely has the team to succeed there. Yes, they lost against New Zealand which was a one-off game, where India did not play well. If this Indian team wins on England shores, they will stand out from the rest.

“I hope this team performs well and wins the series. My prediction is that India will definitely win two or three Test matches and one contest will be a draw. Even if the series is drawn, it will be a huge gain because of the challenging conditions in store.”

Meanwhile, the star all-rounder of Team England Ben Stokes has opted out of the series. Notably, he has decided to take some time off to focus on his mental health and recovery from a finger injury. Also, overall England didn’t have a very good year in Test cricket in 2021. They have won a series against Sri Lanka and one match against India. Other than that team England hasn’t done anything big.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh opined that England will be under pressure in absence of Ben Stokes and the recent Test series loss against New Zealand. Harbhajan Singh asserted:

“England will be under pressure because they will be playing without Ben Stokes. They fielded a team against New Zealand that, according to me, won’t win a Test for a couple of years at least. If they walk out with such a team, India will walk all over them,” Harbhajan Singh said.
