The second Test between England and India will be played at Lord’s between July 12-16. The weather is expected to play a huge role over the next five days. Inclement weather washed out the final day’s play at Trent Bridge which denied India a chance to win the first Test. Thus both teams must get enough time to force a result in this Test match. Here is how the weather at Lord’s for the opening day’s play look like. 

As per Accuweather, there is no rain predicted for the first day’s play. There is clear sunshine expected with temperatures in between 23 degrees Celsius. The forecast shows 0.0 mm precipitation with 76 percent humidity. A 76 percent cloud cover could be expected.

Weather Conditions Look Better For Final Two Sessions At Lord’s

In the afternoon, the temperature is expected to be around 23 percent. A humidity of 61 percent and a cloud cover of 69 percent is expected. There is no rain expected during the post-lunch session as well.

The weather for the final session is also expected to be a good one. The evening will be mainly clear as per Accuweather. The humidity is expected to be around 75 percent with just 25 percent cloud cover. The wind will blow at 15 km per hour.

Reports from the Weather.Com and The Weather Outlook also confirm the same weather conditions for the opening day. The weather for Friday is also expected to be a good one as per both the references as well. A full day’s game is expected on the first two days of the second Test. 

Ravichandran Ashwin On Lord’s Test

Meanwhile, both teams have injury concerns ahead of the second Test. While Stuart Broad has been ruled out of the series with an ankle injury, India’s Shardul Thakur has been ruled out of the second Test with a hamstring injury. The injuries could mean that both teams make wholesale changes to their respective playing XIs.
