James Anderson then struck in two successive deliveries of the 41st over of the Indian innings. First, he dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara with a perfect outswing delivery and then dismissed Kohli for a first-ball duck in his next delivery. Overall, this was the fifth time, Anderson dismissed Kohli in England. Ajinkya Rahane was then run-out in an error of judgment from KL Rahul who made the initial call and did not go for the single.

India still trail by 58 runs in their first innings as the weather played spoilsport in what was a phase of a riveting contest. Anderson has well and truly brought England back into the game. The veteran pacer has got to 619 Test wickets courtesy of his two big scalps on the second morning.
