Royal Challengers defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by a comprehensive margin of 67 runs in a one sided clash at Wankhede stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. All the eyes were once again on the form of Virat. But sadly, Virat couldn’t open his account.

While chasing a skyscraper target of 193 runs , Sunrisers got a poor start. They lost the first 2 wickets within 2 runs. Both the SRH openers were dismissed on duck. Hasaranga dismissed Markaram who never got his timing right. He played a struggling knock of 21 runs in 27 balls.

SRH was struggling at 51 for 3 in 8.2 overs. Pooran joined Rahul Tripathi at the crease. But Pooran too couldn’t contribute much. Pooran tried to slog Hasaranga but got a leading edge on it. Rahul Tripathi was the lone warrior for SRH. He scored 58 runs in 37 balls.

In the end, SRH couldn’t recover from regular blows and got all out in 125 runs. Hasaranga picked a five wicket haul in the match to secure a win for RCB. Hazlewood too chipped in with two crucial wickets. Earlier Faf, Rajat, Maxwell, DK took RCB to a great total of 192 runs.

Dinesh Karthik continues his purple patch to take RCB to 192 runs

After electing to bat first, RCB didn’t get a good start. They lost the wicket of Virat Kohli on the first ball of the match. Former RCB captain once again failed to create an impact. But Faf Du Plessis and Rajat Patidar kept on attacking SRH pacers all around the park. They formed a 105 runs partnership in 12 overs.

Maxwell too formed a partnership of 54 runs with Faf. Maxwell played an impactful knock of 33 runs in 24 balls. In the end , RCB needed a strong finish to take them above 180 runs. Dinesh Karthik continued his great form and played a brilliant cameo of 30 runs in 8 balls which helped RCB post a target of 193 runs for SRH.
