“When you are at a fast pace in life you don’t realise a lot of things and suddenly you are like what has happened here and I am sitting here at home for 2-3 months, obviously for different reasons”, said the former all-rounder.

Yuvraj was part of Mumbai Indians side in the 2019 season of IPL where they emerged champions. A few months later he announced his retirement during the 2019 World Cup. The ace all-rounder has achieved a great deal from the game over a period of two decades.

“I miss the game sometimes but more often I do not miss it because I have played for so many years. I get so many messages for fans, so much love that I feel really blessed”, said Yuvraj when asked if he still misses the game.

In his long and prominent career, Yuvraj Singh also enjoyed the feat of hitting England’s Stuart Broad for six sixes during the 2007 World T20 where India emerged winners. When asked if he took the right decision Yuvraj said he is in a good space since his retirement.

“If you are happy with that respect you have earned for the last 20 years I think it’s the right time to move on. So, I think the day I retired I was free, it was a very emotional moment, I can’t put that in word but certainly, I feel free after that, mentally very happy,” the former cricketer concluded.

In 2012, Yuvraj Singh established the ‘YouWeCan’ Foundation for spreading awareness about Cancer. Yuvraj himself was diagnosed with Cancer in 2011 and defeated the disease after long term treatment in the United States of America.
