Former Pakistan Cricketer Sarfaraz Nawaz Accuses Imran Khan Of Consuming Drugs During His Career

Imran Khan is with a shadow of a doubt the most influential cricketer and captain Pakistan has ever produced. The great all-rounder was known for his out of the box mentality and backing youngsters of his side. However, Imran Khan also had a bad-boy image during his playing career. Now a former Pakistan cricketer has blamed him of utilising drugs during his cricketing career.

Sarfaraz Nawaz made a sensational case against his former captain which might come as a shock to everyone. Nawaz was part of the Pakistan side during the 1980s and had seen Imran Khan from close quarters. The duo was renowned as a fearsome fast bowling attack of Pakistan that helped them clinch several victories.

Imran Khan Used To Snort Drugs- Sarfaraz Nawaz

According to Sarfaraz Nawaz, the now prime minister of Pakistan used to snort drugs in London. He added that Imran Khan once came to his house in Islamabad with other Pakistan cricketers for a meal and consumed Charas.

“He also snorts something. Imran Khan has been consuming cannabis, he used to do it in London and even at my home. In 1987, when Pakistan faced England in a cricket match and he did not bowl well, he had come to my house and said along with Mohsin Khan, Abdul Qadir, Salim Malik in Islamabad for a meal and also consumed charas”.

“He also snorts something and consumes cocaine as well. In London, he would roll something and snort it’, Sarfaraz Nawaz said in an interview on a YouTube Channel.

Meanwhile, the former cricketer was bold in his statements and further added that Imran Khan won’t deny being a drug addict in front of him. He pointed out that during the time many in London saw Imran absorbing drugs.

“Bring him in front of me and let’s see if he denies it. I am not the lone eyewitness, there are many in London,” he further added.

Furthermore, it will be interesting to see whether Imran Khan defends himself after Sarfaraz Nawaz declaring him to be a drug junkie. The former cricketer is recognised for leading Pakistan to the world cup title in 1992.
