Zimbabwe cricketer Ryan Burl’s post on Twitter for sponsorship made an instant connection with Twitteratis. The fans sympathised with the sad state of affairs in Zimbabwe cricket as Burl’s emotional post touched millions. He asked for a shoe sponsorship deal to which he got an immediate response from the sports brand Puma. The sportswear brand has vowed to sponsor the Zimbabwe cricketer after his post of worn-out shoes went viral on social media. Indian cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders superstar Harbhajan Singh lauded the sports gear brand for their incredible gesture.

Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter and lauded Puma for coming forward with a sponsorship deal for Ryan Burl. “Always there for the players @pumacricket well done,” Harbhajan said in his tweet. In response to Burl’s tweet asking for sponsorship Puma Cricket replied ” Time to put the glue away, I got you covered, “.

Ryan Burl’s Twitter Post Creates Sensation

Ryan Burl shared an emotional post saying how he needed to glue his pair of shoes after every series. “Any chance we can get a sponsor so we don’t have to glue our shoes back after every series @newbalance @NewBalance_SA @NBCricket @ICAssociation,” Burl had said in his post.

His post made an instant emotional connection to millions of Twitter users who were happy to see the brand Puma come forward to help him. Burl just got started with his international career for Zimbabwe. He has played three Tests, 18 ODIs and 25 T20Is so far. He plays the role of a batting all-rounder for the team.

Burl has also bagged 26 wickets with his useful spin bowling on the international circuit. Zimbabwe were recently outclassed by Babar Azam’s Pakistan in a five-match international series. Pakistan had thrashed Zimbabwe by an innings in the two-match Test series. Zimbabwe are scheduled to play Ireland in a limited-overs series in August.
