South African batter David Miller praised his Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya’s leadership skills. He expressed that the all-rounder is a “natural leader”. Hardik’s captaincy skills came to the fore earlier this year when he led the Gujarat Titans to the Indian Premier League title in their debut season. He led the team from the front, contributing with his all-round skills.

Hardik Pandya’s heroics earned him a Team India comeback call. He also got an opportunity to lead India in T20Is, in absence of the senior players. Hailing Hardik Pandya, David Miller expressed that the Indian cricketer allows the players to freedom to express themselves on the field, and play their way. He said as quoted by PTI,

“Just playing under him in the IPL, I feel he is a natural leader, People follow him. He allows you to play the way that you feel like you can. He is very inclusive as a leader, he wants everyone to be close to each other.”

“At the same time, he is clear with discipline. He has got a lot of good attributes of a leader. In IPL he got better and better as the season progressed and I see him doing that (with the Indian team as well),” he added.

He allows the guys to do what they want to do which is important: David Miller

South African cricketer David Miller further expressed that Hardik Pandya has an inclusive attitude as a leader. He allows the players complete freedom and helps to better their mindset on the field. Miller said in an interaction with PTI,

“He will make the players a lot better in the mindset. 100 percent. He allows the guys to do what they want to do which is important.”

Hardik Pandya recently led the Indian team in the T20I series against New Zealand. Team India won the series 1-0, as they secured a comfortable win in the second T20I. The first was abandoned due to rain, while the third ended in a tie, as rain played spoilsport.
