Hardik Pandya Posts Heartwarming Picture On Completing Six Years With Mumbai Indians

Ace all-rounder, Hardik Pandya on April 19 (Monday) took to social media to share a special post on completing six years with his Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians. Incidentally, Hardik had joined Mumbai Indians as a young cricketer in 2015 and has since become an integral member of the squad.

The Mumbai management scouted Hardik from the domestic circuit where he represents Baroda and added to the squad in 2015. Since then, Hardik Pandya has won as many as four IPL titles with the Rohit Sharma-led side. He has been instrumental in all those years with both bat and the ball. He impressed in his debut season scoring 112 runs and picked up 1 wicket in 9 games.

As a result, Hardik Pandya was soon fast-tracked into the national side. His stocks went up and up and currently, the Baroda all-rounder is one of the best in the business. Hardik shared a video capturing the glorious moments of his Mumbai Indians career so far and thanked the fans, support staff, and his teammates for their constant support.

“A walk down memory lane and looking back at 6 extraordinary years with a team so close to my heart @mipaltan. To the management, staff, teammates and fans who’ve been with me on this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Hardik Pandya wrote in a tweet.

Hardik Pandya will resume bowling when he is fit

Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene stated that they don’t want to risk Hardik Pandya and want to ensure that he resumes bowling once he is completely fit. Ever since he returned to action after the surgery, Pandya bowed during the T20I series against England and only in one of the three ODI against England in Pune.

“We were obviously looking forward to him to be bowling this series as last season he was coming back from injury,” Jayawardene said in a press interaction. “But after the ODIs against England, I believe he picked up a niggle. So that’s something we are nursing at the moment. We don’t want to risk it because we must make sure that he is completely in a position to come in and bowl,” he added.
