India will host West Indies for three ODIs and as many T20Is from February 6 to 20 next year. Post the series against West Indies, India are also scheduled to host Sri Lanka for two Tests and three T20Is from February 25 to March 18. The 28-year-old ace all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, is unlikely to be considered for the selections for either of the series.

Hardik has struggled with a lower-back injury since the last couple of years. Ever since he underwent surgery in 2019, the all-rounder from Baroda has not bowled full-fledged. His injury further significantly hampered his batting during the death overs, as he batted at a strike rate of only 113.39, scoring 127 runs in 12 appearances in IPL 2021.

He also had below-par returns in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and was not considered for the T20I series against New Zealand. Hardik Pandya decided to skip the Vijay Hazare Trophy to work on his fitness and as things look he is likely to miss the first quarter of 2022.

Will Hardik Pandya earn big bucks at the IPL 2022?

There are reports that Hardik Pandya could be picked by Ahmedabad based in the pre-draft before the IPL 2022 auction but if he lands in the mega auction, the all-rounder could earn big bucks in the auction. But the lower-back injury could impact his price and value at the auction

There is no doubt that he is a proven customer and can win matches single-handedly. He has been an integral part of five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians and is expected to fetch big bucks in the auction.

Hardik Pandya has scored 1476 runs for Mumbai Indians in IPL so far which came at an average of 27.33 and picked 42 wickets as well.
