The second Ashes Test ended today and Australia registered a convincing win by 275 runs. While the wicket-keeper batsman, Jos Buttler tried his best and frustrated the Aussies, his innings ended in a highly unfortunate way as well.

It was a short delivery from Jhye Richardson, Jos Buttler went onto the back foot and tried to hit the ball towards the offside but he had gone too deep into the crease, and eventually was dismissed ‘hit wicket’. And, soon after he got out, Australia managed to seal the deal.

However, England were never in the game in the second Test at Adelaide as, the Joe Root led team had to chase a massive target of 468 for the win as well, and the visitors were bundled out for 192.

And, after this 275-run win by the Aussies, Australia have now moved to the 2nd spot of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table, as they have posted 2 wins in 2 matches in the second cycle of the WTC as well.

On the other hand, England are placed at the 7th position, having won just 1 match so far in the WTC. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are placed at the top spot in the points table whereas Pakistan are placed at the 3rd as well.

Team India are currently occupying 4th place in the points table as well. While the West Indies are placed at No.5, the Kiwis are placed at the 6th spot and Bangladesh is placed at the last spot in the WTC points table as well.
